When I was a kid, I wanted all the nice toys from my parents and relatives that I could get.? Of course, when you are a kid, you don't realize as much that someone on the other side has to pay for the toys. We were smitten with the thought that Santa Claus and/or our parents would just get it for us. We did not realize that toys come at a cost.?
In the same way, many Americans are like kids during Christmas. They want toys and goodies without regard to who will pay for it.
Medicare
Medicaid
Obamacare
Low interest student loans
Pell grants
Obama phones
High paying firemen and policemen
Lavish pensions for teachers
Subsidies to ethanol farmers
High speed trains
Low cost public transportation
Nice school facilities
Beautiful parks
Subsidies to green energy
All are goodies that someone really wants to have. But at same time, collectively all come at a steep price. Unfortunately, Santa cannot magically give us all free toys.
